Job description

Planet Smart City is recruiting a Senior Service Designer. The role will report to Head of Customization Management in the Digital services area and will work in close collaboration with Software developers, Community Managers and UX/UI designers. In this role you'll be shaping new features of our digital products from concept to user tests, delivering services that will positively impact people and bring value to client's business.

Responsabilities
  • Performing User Research to collect meaningful insights and to identify new features for our products;

  • Designing User Journey Maps to highlight pain points and issues that need to be addressed;

  • Planning and executing co-creation workshops with stakeholders in order to propose the most viable solution for a given problem;

  • Prototyping services to validate ideas and iterate on them;

  • Creating Service Blueprint to be presented and delivered;

  • Supervising and executing all UX and UI design phases;

  • Interacting with the software development team to provide guidelines and features insight;

  • Actively supporting user tests.

Experience & Skills Essential
  • Have 5 years of experience as a user experience/user interface designer or similar role

  • A portfolio demonstrating how you work as well as your final deliverables is needed.

Preferable
  • Proficient in English both written and spoken

  • Proficiency in User-centered design

  • Ability to plan and execute User research, to extract insight and to define Personas

  • Proficiency in User journeys and Blueprint mapping

  • Experience collaborating with developers to ensure an efficient and high quality build

  • Knowledge of Adobe CC Suite; specifically Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop

  • Wireframing and UX prototyping experience (Invision, XD, Sketch or similar tools)

  • Familiarity with SCRUM, Agile or Design Sprint methodologies

  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Trello)

  • Working as part of a team split across multiple locations

  • Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in Interaction Design

  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/React Native

  • Knowledge in data visualisation and motion design

  • Personal qualities:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with minimum or no guidance

  • Comfortable working with different cultures and languages

  • Resilient and able to change the course of projects as required

  • A leader able to influence the team, peers and the whole organisation

Education Essential
  • Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Service Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design.
