The Role
As Product Designer you will be part of the Smart Integrated Design team in the Advisory Business Unit. In the role you will be responsible for Planet's visual identity in both its internal projects and third-party external commissions. As part of your job you will take part in the graphic design of innovative solutions for the global Real Estate sector, as well as oversee their integration in projects from the early conceptual stages, all the way to their communication targeted at residents. We are looking for a multi-faceted individual with a strong eye for design, able to collaborate both alongside the rest of the Product Design team, as well as with the Project Innovation team and Project Managers. As part of a global team, you will also collaborate with team members in the India and Brazil offices. The ideal candidate will have a consolidated understanding of the needs of our target users and the skills to translate those needs into physical and digital solutions and services that enhance the living experience.
Main activities
● Visual Identity
Ensure Planet's visual identity is clear for all stakeholders involved throughout its projects, both internally and externally commissioned. You will be responsible for designing the look and feel of different innovative solutions, as well as liaising with the marketing and communication team regarding the upkeeping of Planet's brand guidelines.
● Graphic Layout
Create graphic layouts for documents pertaining to projects followed by the Project Innovation team. You will overlook the layout for the documents detailing our Real Estate formats, envisioning studies for external clients and tenders and competitions.
● Project Communication
Producing collaterals which allow for Planet and our innovative solutions implemented in projects is communicated effectively through high-quality graphic design. This entails both the communication towards clients and developers, as well as towards residents, working alongside the Community Engagement team to ensure this.
●Solution Design
Designing format-type products to be inserted within our in-house catalogue of smart solutions, including both physical products as well as digital services aimed at residents. This will entail a research and analysis of case studies, the creation of design and use guidelines, and the modelling of the solution alongside the project innovation team.
Qualifications
Must have:
● Masters or Bachelor degree in Architecture, Design, Product Design or similar field.
Nice to have:
● Masters in the system design or similar.
● Workshops in design thinking and human centered design.
● An eye for marketing and communication.
Skills/competencies
● Software:
Must have: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to have: Autocad, Figma, Sketchup.
● Languages:
Must have: Italian, English.
