The Role:

We are seeking to hire an experienced Communications professional to lead the Communications agenda for Planet Smart City in the Indian market. This would be done through a strategic approach and execution of communication activities that build the Planet brand within cohorts like media, general public, customer segments audiences and internal audiences outside India.

The role will report to the Head of Marketing & Communication for India and work closely with the business teams, global marketing & communication team, external agency partners and the wider business.


Key Responsibilities:

·        Liaise closely with global and Indian leadership and business teams to chart communications activities, that advance business objectives 

·        Work with the PR agency and media channels (traditional and online) to create and execute interview opportunities to tell our story 

·        Leverage PR, alliances, sponsorships, events and speaker opportunities to initiate and participate in relevant industry conversations 

·        Coordinate and execute production and dissemination of promotional materials viz press releases, media kits & presentations, case studies etc. 

·        Create content with global communications team for internal communications viz monthly newsletters and OnePlanet portal articles from India

·        Collaborate with global communications team, for content in the investor newsletter and disseminating global news in Indian media

·        Generate a sustained monthly tracker of market intelligence and competitive knowledge

Collaborate with the digital and social media teams to tell our story in creative and inspiring ways that resonate with various audiences .


Experience & Skills:


·        8-10 years' experience in PR and corporate communications (client/agency)

·        Experience in developing and executing high-profile communications initiatives and campaigns

·        Proven track record in successful management of PR and communication agencies.

·        Experience in working with leadership and business teams in corporate, tech, lifestyle and business/marketing media, alliance partners and media partners

·        Experience of developing and crafting communication for traditional media viz interviews, articles, profiles, soundbite quotes etc.

·        Experience of collaborating with global teams on executing common strategic agenda

·        Clear and sharp understanding of leveraging PR and communications to build brand perception

·        Proficiency in spoken and written English, ability to craft relevant messages in form of copy

·        Team player, articulate, confident, self-driven, eager-to-learn, individual contributor mindset, strong capability to lead and to learn

·        Ownership-mindset, outcome-orientation, execution-bias and independent networking capability


Preferable (No deterrent if not there)

·        Experience of working within real-estate and prop-tech space in India

·        Good understanding sense of digital and social media marketing

·        Worked with a leading PR agency in the past

Good grasp of Hindi and Marathi




Minimum bachelor's degree in Science, Arts, Journalism, Communications, Engineering or similar from Tier 1 or 2 university



PG degree/diploma OR additional certifications in relevant subjects around communications, media, writing and public speaking etc.
